Knit Dalek
Thursday, February 14th, 2008Continuing my theme of knitting inspired by Doctor Who, I made a knit Dalek. He’s kind of a cuddly, baby Dalek, as his head’s bigger in relation to his body than a full-grown Dalek’s.

Continuing my theme of knitting inspired by Doctor Who, I made a knit Dalek. He’s kind of a cuddly, baby Dalek, as his head’s bigger in relation to his body than a full-grown Dalek’s.

After scanning what was available in the way of Christmas ornaments this year and being disappointed, I took it upon myself to make my own Christmas ornaments. They are a chess piece, a monkey, a crab, a ballerina, a machine, a wine bottle, lasagna, and an African mask.

It being a cold winter, I decided that the only appropriate thing to do was make two 20-foot-long scarves. Doctor Who Scarves, that is. One colored like the 4th Doctor’s, and the other white like Romana’s in ‘Destiny Of The Daleks’. Yes, I’m a dork. But a warm dork. (Edit From The Future: This picture is from waaaay after I made the scarves, but I think the image does them more justice. We wore them as part of our wedding outfits when we eloped in Las Vegas! Eric is wearing his in the normal style, and I’m wearing mine like a boa.)
